Children's Cooking Class

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” - Proverbs 22:6

On Sunday, January 29th, the NCC Children’s Department held a cooking class for the children in the Conference! Children from multiple churches in the NCC attended to practice their cooking skills! The children learned two recipes: Sesame Banana cookies and Zucchini Polenta Breakfast Muffins!

After starting the class with singing some Bible songs, each child was given a chef’s hat and apron which they decorated, and they each chose a special cookie cutter for their sesame cookie! All the children got a turn adding ingredients together for the polenta muffins and mixing those ingredients together.

While waiting for the food to cook there was an assortment of arts and crafts that the children completed, as well as playing in the fresh air on the Moriah Heights property! After an afternoon of fun and games they enjoyed the fruits of their labor, as well as some delicious veggies with dip! Even the little babies in attendance got to taste the delicious results!
