River Ride Children's Activity

Last Sunday was a beautiful day for a bike ride! The NCC Children’s department held a River Ride children’s activity consisting of Bible Stories, Songs, Thankfulness, Science, and Exercise in the warm sunshine!

The children met at Granite Bay church and started the day with some singing! It is always a blessing to hear children so enthusiastically praising God’s name. After a prayer, Pr. David Zic told the story of Naaman and the little maid (2 Kings 5:1-19), including a demonstration of what leprosy looked like! Pr. David emphasized how God washes away our sins, like he did Captain Naaman’s leprosy in the river Jordan.

After the story, Sr Andjela Salazar led the children through some science experiments, showing this principle. And, to feel the thankfulness Naaman felt after being healed, Sr Julia Dodos led the children through an art activity all about focusing on the many blessings that God gives us that we are thankful for!

After a quick trip to the American River, a delicious lunch prepared by the Children’s Department was held, followed by the River Ride! Not only were the children able to hear about the story of Naaman, they were able to visualize it during this activity as well. Praise God for beautiful weather!

The children enjoyed the morning so much that they stayed by the river to act out the story of Naaman! We pray that they always remember these Bible truths and that they continue to learn and grow in Christ!

Join us for the next Children’s Activity in December! More details to come, be sure you are following the NCC Instagram account (@sdarmncc) and that you are subscribed to the newsletter so you can hear about it as soon as possible!
