We are so excited for the opportunity to sing this beautiful hymn with you at the NCC Fall Conference! Composed by Br Wallivanisson Sudaro and lyrics by Sr Nancy Fountain, this song was created by members of the Northern California Conference specifically for this event. It is an earnest prayer to the Lord, that we wish for Him to come again soon, bringing to mind images of that blessed day when we see His face, as He returns to this earth to take us home with Him.
We Will Wait For You
You created us with your own hands
And in perfect harmony we’d always be with You
But sin took us far from Your face
Yet you carved a way back
Many faithful men have tread that path
Guided by Your Spirit they have traveled far and near
Their message was that You’ll return
And restore us to Your plan
We will wait for You
’Til we see Your face
On that blessed day
When you call our names
If we are asleep
May we hear your voice
Calling us to be with You
We will wait for You
Though it may seem long
We know You will come
In the clouds one day
Give us strength to work as we carry on,
May we wait, dear Lord, faithfully
To complete your work we need your help
As a hundred years already quickly passed us by
Our hope is that we’ll be with You,
Nevermore to part again
We will wait for You
’Til we see Your face
On that blessed day
When you call our names
If we are asleep
May we hear your voice
Calling us to be with You
We will wait for You
Though it may seem long
We know You will come
In the clouds one day
Give us strength to work as we carry on,
May we work, dear Lord, faithfully
Give us strength to work as we carry on,
We will wait, dear Lord, faithfully
