Get ready for this year’s summer youth event:
NCC MUSIC CAMP 2026

You are invited to be part of this year’s NCC Summer Music Camp, created to inspire and develop musical talents, especially within our young people. In a structured, educational setting designed for beginner to intermediate musicians, we will explore together both the spiritual and technical aspects of music leading to a deeper understanding of how to play your instrument, and how to use music as a tool to spread the Word of God!

The camp will be focused on the spiritual theme “For Such a Time As This,” leading into the Western North American Union Conference that will be held at the camp’s culmination. This camp will encourage each participant to recognize the significance of their calling and step boldly into the season God has placed before them.

Through dedicated, one-on-one instruction, collaborative ensembles, and interactive workshops, participants will grow in skill, confidence, and musical understanding while discovering how their gifts can be used with purpose. Experienced music teachers connected to the Reform Movement around the world will be invited to give classes for the following instruments:

Strings (Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass)
Brass (Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba, Baritone, Saxophone, French Horn)
Woodwinds (Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon)
Percussion
Piano
Voice/Choir

Registration fees for the program will include physical materials, camp t-shirt, accommodations (if early-bird or regular registration), meals (breakfast for regular/early-bird pricing only, lunch and dinner for all), instructional classes and workshops throughout the camp.

To contribute to the Cabin Project, please send donations to the SDARM NCC here! A fundraiser for the cabins will be held on February 22nd. Check the event page here for more details!

Travel Recommendations

Check-in for the camp will open at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, July 22nd. The first item on the itinerary will be dinner at 6:00 PM, followed by prayer meeting with the local brethren at 7:00 PM. Please plan to be on the Moriah Heights Property before 6:00 PM.

The camp will conclude with the Western North American Union Conference, from July 31st to August 2nd. The concluding concert for the camp will be held on the afternoon of August 2nd. The final day of the camp will be August 3rd, and will include worship in the morning, breakfast to follow, and cleaning up the camp after breakfast. Please schedule your travel to leave sometime after breakfast on Monday, August 3rd.

It is preferred that you travel through Sacramento International Airport (SMF). This airport is about 40-50 minutes away from the Moriah Heights Property and the most simple for us to coordinate pick-ups and drop-offs.

Alternatively, the next closest airports would be San Francisco International Airport (SFO) or San Jose International Airport (SJC). We highly encourage you to coordinate your own transportation to the Moriah Heights property if you travel through San Francisco or San Jose, as they are approximately 2-3 hours away from Moriah Heights and the route consistently has very heavy traffic. If you will require a pick-up or drop-off from one of these airports, we encourage you to remember the cost of fuel to do so and please consider making a donation towards the music camp expenses.

Someone from the Music Camp team will reach out to you before the camp to coordinate transportation as needed.

Skill Level & Age Ranges

The music camp will be open to overnight participants aged 13 and older. If a child under the age of 13 would like to participate, they must select the day-only option and be accommodated by either their parents or an acting guardian coordinated by their parents, separate to the NCC Event Team. Please communicate directly with the event team to ensure that there will be a teacher for your child’s age, cognition, and skill level

All skill levels are welcome to participate ranging between those that have never touched an instrument to those playing intermediate to advanced repertoire.

Instruments

Please bring your own instrument with you to the music camp. If this will not be possible due to travel or you will be learning a brand new instrument, please communicate with us directly through events@sdarmncc.org to coordinate an instrument to borrow (if available) or to rent. If instruments are rented, the participant would be responsible for the costs incurred.
